About the 'Hour of Code'
This year, from December 3rd through December 7th, students in Somerville will experience the thrill of learning computer programming! This amazing event is called the Hour of Code and it will give our students the opportunity to learn the basics of computer science and computational thinking.
Software and computers are everywhere, and these basics help nurture creativity, problem-solving skills, and prepare our students for any future career. Please join us!
You don't need to be a computer expert to volunteer. In fact, last year we had volunteers from some of the best technology companies on the planet -- Google, Pegasystems, Winter Wyman, Hubspot, and Amazon working alongside parents and other community partners.
